Upfront Septic completed a septic tank riser installation project for a homeowner in Spanaway, WA. The project included installing one 12-inch riser and two 24-inch risers to provide improved access to the septic system for future pumping, inspections, and maintenance.
Our technician began by removing the existing concrete around the pump tank riser. The area was cleaned and resealed with concrete, and hydraulic cement was applied to the inside rim to help prevent water and root intrusion.
Two 24-inch risers were then installed and secured to the tank with concrete. The inside rims were also sealed with hydraulic cement to create a more secure barrier against groundwater and roots.
A 12-inch riser was installed at the remaining access point and sealed using hydraulic cement, with the riser concreted securely to the tank. The completed riser installations provide easier access to the septic system while helping protect the tank connections from unwanted water and root intrusion.
