Upfront Septic provided an RSS inspection and septic pumping service for a residential property in Tacoma, WA. Upon arrival, our technician accessed the system and pumped both the two-compartment septic tank and the pump tank, removing accumulated wastewater and solids to help restore available capacity.
During the inspection, the pump tank was evaluated for drawdown performance and showed a drawdown of approximately one-half inch. The system was also inspected for other accessible issues that could affect its operation.
Root intrusion was identified around the first compartment, with roots entering through the side of the riser and around its base where it connects to the tank. This area should be addressed to help prevent additional root growth and potential water intrusion.
The alarm float was also found to be unattached from the float tree. Our technician reattached the alarm float to the float tree to restore its proper positioning within the pump tank.
Upfront Septic completed the pumping and RSS inspection while addressing the loose alarm float and documenting the root intrusion for future maintenance.
