Upfront Septic was called to a Woodinville property for septic pumping. Upon arrival, our technicians found that both the two-compartment septic tank and the 200–300-gallon pump basin were flooded. The alarm was functioning, but the pump appeared to have failed, despite having been replaced within the last few years. The discharge line was also found to be broken where it connects to the tank. The discharge pipe is 1.5 inches in diameter.
Our team pumped both tanks to remove the accumulated wastewater. During the service, we also inspected the system’s access points and noted several items that may require follow-up. Root intrusion was present in each riser, and resealing is recommended. The outlet baffle was not accessible through the outlet lid, so its condition could not be fully evaluated. It appears to be a PVC pump-to-clean filter, and there may be another access port for reaching it.
The findings indicate that the pump and broken discharge-line connection need further attention to restore proper system operation. Resealing the risers and confirming access to the outlet filter are also recommended next steps.
