Septic Tank PumpingWoodinville, WA

Project Spotlight: Woodinville Septic Tank Pumping

Upfront Septic provided septic tank pumping and system inspection services for a homeowner in Woodinville, WA. Because the septic tank and access lids were located underground, the homeowner had excavated and exposed the tanks before our technician arrived, allowing the pumping and inspection to begin without additional excavation.

Upon arrival, our technician found that the two-compartment septic tank was in a flooded state. The flooding was attributed to an outlet baffle filter that needed to be cleaned and was restricting the flow of effluent from the tank. We pumped the septic tank and pump tank to help restore capacity and proper system function.

The system has three risers located approximately six inches below grade. The existing lids do not securely attach to the risers and are neither airtight nor watertight. These conditions can allow groundwater, rainwater, and debris to enter the septic system and may warrant improvements to the riser and lid assemblies.

During the inspection, we also observed a large damp area in the drainfield where the vegetation was noticeably lush. This area may indicate that the drainfield is receiving excess moisture or effluent and should be monitored as part of ongoing septic system maintenance.

Upfront Septic completed the necessary pumping and evaluated the accessible components of the system, identifying the outlet baffle filter, riser lids, and drainfield conditions as areas to keep an eye on for future maintenance.

Woodinville Septic Tank Pumping

A Woodinville homeowner had dug out their own buried lids before we arrived. The two-compartment tank was flooded behind an outlet baffle filter that was restricting the flow of effluent; the tank and pump tank were both pumped, with the shallow risers, their loose lids and a lush damp patch over the drainfield noted to watch.
