Septic PumpingBonney Lake, WA

Project Spotlight: Bonney Lake Septic Pumping

Upfront Septic provided septic tank pumping and inspection services for a residential property in Bonney Lake, WA. Upon arrival, our technician located the two-compartment septic tank in the backyard. The tank is approximately two inches below grade and is not currently equipped with risers, making future access and maintenance more difficult.

During the inspection, the inlet and outlet baffles appeared to be in good condition, and there were no signs of major deterioration in the tank walls or floors. However, slight root intrusion was visible around both main access lids. We also identified a gap where the mainline pipe connects to the septic tank, which should be resealed to help prevent water and root intrusion.

The outlet access lid was stuck and could not be opened during the visit, so the outlet pipe could not be fully inspected. Based on the accessible portions of the inspection, the tank itself appeared to be in generally good structural condition.

Our technician crust busted the tank and pumped approximately 1,000 gallons of wastewater and solids from the system. Additional work is recommended to improve the tank's access and protect its connections. The planned work includes installing two 24-inch risers, resealing the mainline pipe connection, and evaluating the transport line for a possible reseal.

Upfront Septic will return to complete the recommended repairs and upgrades, helping improve access to the septic system while addressing areas that could allow unwanted water or root intrusion.
