Upfront Septic provided septic pumping and inspection services at a property in Lakebay, WA, to evaluate the condition of the existing septic system and identify any maintenance or repair needs. Upon arrival, our technicians located a two-compartment concrete septic tank in the backyard. The tank was approximately 36 inches below grade and did not have risers installed.
During the inspection, our team found that both the inlet and outlet baffles appeared to be in good condition. There were also no visible signs of major deterioration in the tank's floors or walls, indicating that the concrete tank structure appeared to be in good condition at the time of service.
One issue was identified at the transport line connection. Our technicians observed a gap where the transport line enters the septic tank. This connection needs to be resealed to help prevent water and soil from entering around the pipe and to maintain a secure connection between the tank and transport line.
The recommended follow-up work is to reseal the transport line connection. Addressing this gap can help protect the septic system from unwanted water infiltration and maintain the integrity of the connection. Regular septic pumping and inspections can also help homeowners stay ahead of maintenance needs and support long-term system performance.
